Today I had intended for us to do our “man on the street” interview questions, asking random strangers various questions about mercury dental fillings, over at the University of Kentucky. But thanks to it being a Friday, bad weather and the fact that Kentucky was playing in the final 4 basketball game, The University of Kentucky Dental School was deserted.
So after a few hours of obtaining minimal footage we packed it up and went to see a movie. Disney’s John Carter. Which for some reason scared poor Ty nearly out of his chair. It was probably finding out what the budget for the film was.
After we got out of the movie the sky was starting to clear up. So we went over to the airport to try and grab a shot of a plane taking off. We found a great place up on a tall hill at the outter end of the airport. Unfortunately, the Lexington Kentucky airport is rather small. So small in fact, that for three hours no commercial planes took off. We waited until the sunset, but still no jets left the airport.
While this was not the best day filming, it was a great day for Kentucky basketball.
