At the last minute we found out about a Department of State meeting on mercury. Several outspoken advocates had been invited to attend and tell their stories. Among them was injured dental assistant Karen Burns, so we thought we’d tag along. We even got to present our data from our measurements of mercury vapor level study we performed last year.
Both Karen Burns and Karen Palmer gave passionate testimony about the lack of protection they were offered during their years working in the dental field and their ensuing health problems from occupational exposure to mercury.
