We attended the IAOMT 2012 Fall Conference with our newly completed film trailer in hand just days after launching our Kickstarter fundraising campaign. I had to overcome my fear of speaking infront of groups to get up and make requests for funding contributions and field questions.
The IAOMT showed our film trailer to their membership and it was recieved extremely well. We got lots of really great feedback. Over the course of the conference, we raised a significant amount of money towards our fundraising goal.
Several important mercury researchers were presenting during the conference and we got to interview them about the newly released studies from the children’s amalgam trials showing harm to the children from exposure to their dental mercury fillings.
Two of our leads, Boyd Haley and Matt Young were both giving presentations regarding recently completed studies. Both Boyd Haley and David Kennedy were there and got interviewed by an old school radio personality. Fall 2012 saw the inauguration of the new incoming IAOMT president William Virtue DDS.
Finally, we got to meet Mercury Free and Safe dental pioneer, Mr Hal Huggins and his assistant Marisa. Hal shared some really incredible, touching stories that I hope can make it either into the film or the “Extras” of the dvd.
